Certification Process

AEA make it easy by helping your business through the certification process.

Step 1

Who certifies?

To become certified in an ISO standard, you will need to first choose a certification body like AEA Quality Registrars as the ISO organization does not conduct certification audits.  Your chosen certification body (CB) will audit your organization to assess whether your management system meets the requirements of the standard you are seeking.

STEP 2

Consulting Services

Often times, companies utilize the assistance of ISO consultants to guide them on identifying which standard is appropriate for them and to help them develop or refine the company’s management system, processes, attain compliance, and provide methods by which to maintain compliance.  If utilizing the services of a consultant, it is important to ensure that they have the expertise and knowledge needed for your business.

Clients new to the certification process often request a pre-audit assessment visit.  This usually transpires while the client is still developing their quality management system (QMS).  AEA conducts these pre-audits to help clients identify areas in the QMS that may have deficiencies or need additional support/clarification.  All findings are shared with the client upon conclusion of the pre-audit.

STEP 3

Pre-Audit Assessment

Clients new to the certification process often request a pre-audit assessment visit.  This usually transpires while the client is still developing their quality management system (QMS).  AEA conducts these pre-audits to help clients identify areas in the QMS that may have deficiencies or need additional support/clarification.  All findings are shared with the client upon conclusion of the pre-audit.

STEP 4

ISO Certification Audit

Your company applies to become ISO certified by working with a Certification Body like AEA.  The CB is also referred to as a “registrar”.  The CB will audit your company’s documents and management processes against the requirements for the standard you have chosen.  This is the audit where it is necessary to show that your system is effective.
